The short version

GymGirl keeps your workouts, weight, measurements and settings on your phone. There is no account. The app does not send your data to us or to anyone else.

What the app stores

• Your workouts, plan, exercises you create, body weight and optional body measurements.
• Your settings and the answers you gave in setup, such as goals, level and equipment.
• If you choose to log it, your cycle and how you felt.

All of this stays in the app's storage on your device. Deleting all data in the app's settings, or uninstalling the app, removes it.

Health Connect

If you switch it on, GymGirl can read your weight, height and heart rate during workouts from Health Connect, and save your finished workouts there. You choose what to allow, and you can take the permissions back at any time in Android's Health Connect settings. This data is used only inside the app on your phone.

Notifications

Workout and weigh-in reminders are scheduled on your phone. They do not use a server.

Backups

When you back up, the app writes one file to a place you choose. You decide where it is kept and who can see it.

This website

This website does not use cookies or analytics. It loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads. Cloudflare hosts the site and may process technical request data, such as your IP address, to deliver it and keep it secure. If you email us, we use your address only to reply.

Not medical advice

GymGirl is training guidance. Please talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you are pregnant, recovering from an injury or have a health condition.
